Park Rules
When visiting...
- Please keep to your allocated booking slot. Please arrive and leave at the correct times to allow the smooth running of the park and parking area with consideration to the other park users.
- Please make sure your dog is fully vaccinated/wormed/flead and does not have any symptoms or illnesses (such as kennel cough) which may be passed on to other users.
- Dogs must be kept on leads until you have entered the field through the pedestrian gate and locked the it behind you. You are responsible for your dog's safety at all times. While we have endeavoured to create a secure and stimulating environment for dogs of all types, we in no way guarantee that dogs cannot escape or that equipment provided is suitable for all. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury.
- If you have a banned breed (including XL Bullies), you must adhere to the government's rules and restrictions at all times when using Hitchin Dog Park.
- Always clear up after your dog. Place any poo bags in the dog waste bin provided or take home.
- No smoking within the field or the parking area.
- Please make sure you take all your belongings and any litter home with you.
- Never leave your dog unattended at any point during your session.
- For your own safety and for your dogs, please inform us of any damage you find in the field or any other field related issues.
- Always properly secure and lock the pedestrian gate after use.
- No digging allowed in Hitchin Dog Park.
- No more than 5 people per booking allowed.
- No more than 2 cars per booking allowed. If coming by car, always only park in car park and never in the lay-by outside as this is an important passing place for drivers using Folly Lane. Your car and personal property is at your own risk.
- Please keep in mind that people live nearby and that the park is next door to a graveyard so please be considerate of others and keep noise, including use of dog whistles, to a minimum.
- We may from time to time make random spot checks to ensure everyone is adhering to our rules. To check users have booked and paid for the correct time/number of dogs in their session.
